Vicia cracca

Also known as cow vetch, for its protein-rich foliage, often used as a forage crop for cattle, tufted vetch is a curtain forming perennial which will bring colour to your garden. It has ties to witchcraft but is more regularly used as a cover crop to increase nitrogen in the soil. Like other leguminous plants, its nitrogen-fixing properties help to enrich the soil in your garden.
